I'm back at work today for the first time since getting knocked on my ass by a bad cold. I'm not 100% yet, but at least I'm not as incapacitated as last week. Although, riding on BART with a lingering NyQuil head-fog was a bit tough.
So, let's see ... I still owe Ry a description of Ben's wedding. Maybe I'll write that tomorrow. We have two new people starting in our department today, which rocks. We've been so short-staffed for so long ... treading water until we could get some more bodies into the empty offices here. Thankfully, the days of treading water look like they're coming to an end.
Muh. This is a boring post. Oh, while I was sick, Manda and I watched the movie "Stranger Than Fiction." Good movie. Really good. I liked it a lot.
Crap. Guess that's all I've got for you today.

Stop your bitching already Harlin. It's just like high school: whine, whine, whine. Now go put on your boots and take your purple statue out for a drive!
Agreed.
Wow, you agree easily!
Yeah ... well. Part of me wanted to say "Hell, blogs are all about whining. So just freakin' get over it." But, I decided that sounded a bit too whiney.
Damned if you do, etc.
yet you have no idea who is writing this... thought the purple statue reference should narrow it down for you.
?
Yeah ... well. Your references to 11th grade lead me to believe that you're either one of two people. Either you're:
A. Joe McGuire - in which case, awesome. Or
B. Anyone else, and quite frankly, I couldn't give a fuck who you are.
Because, seriously, if your only tie to me is one of the most miserable years of my life, you can fuck off and stay anonymous for all I care.
wow, this is pretty unexpected. First it's kind of disappointing that one of the years that we were friends was one of the "worst years of your life". Secondly, I'd like to think there are more people than just that one you would like to hear from.
sincerely,
your microphone stand
In all honesty, there probably are more people than just Joe that I'd like to hear from. If we were friends, cool. Let me know how you're doing.
If we weren't, though, I don't really care how you're doing.
Either way, I'm just not one for games using the "Anonymous" button.
yeah, but it's no fun if I just tell you who I am. Come on, the microphone stand was a total giveaway. How many human microphone stands did you have during your high school years? Your keyboard really had THAT many viruses?
I will admit though, if you are only focusing on 11th grade you are narrowing it down too much.
I suppose I'll just flat out tell you if you don't get it from this, but come on Jesse... work with me here.
There's a link to Jesse's myspace page on the right-hand side of his blog.. you could contact him there for personal conversations.

Hey, Matt.
How are you?
I'm doing great Jesse, how the hell are you? I was talking to Josh yesterday and high school came up, and I asked, what on earth are Jesse and Ryan doing? So I checked google and sure enough I found you! I'm thrilled to see you stayed with music!!! I'm still doing community theater, but job-wise I went the corporate way. I know, I'm a sell out. LOL!
